My Favourites

There is always a software book on my nightstand. I compiled a list of my top 9 (because a 3x3 grid looks good) favourite software (related) books on this page.

Clean Code
Uncle Bob

Surely made me a better Software Developer.

Prod C# X with .NET X
Andrew Troelsen & Philip Japikse

This most be the most extensive book on C# and .NET taht I know of, making the title a good choice.

Patterns, Principes and Practices of DDD
Scott Millett & Nick Tune

My favourite book on DDD. Easy to read and very practical to use, full of good examples.

Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture
Martin Fowler

Oldie but goodie.

Code Complete 2
Steve McConnell

A classic on the art of software craftsmanship.

Head first Design Patterns
Eric Freeman

Not a very original choice, but probably a must for every developer. Great for reference.

The Phoenix Project
Gene Kim, Kevin Behr & George Spafford

Great book to get into the DevOps mindset. Pleasant story-like listening as an audiobook.

Getting things done
David Allen

Not really a software book, but it pays off to be a productive software developer.

How to Win Friends and Influence People
Dale Carnegie

Fantastic book to work on those rusty soft skills. Old, but still equally relevent as when it was written.

One man's constant is another man's variable.
